The End of the Sabbatical

Hello again Folks!

How ARE you?  I know it's been awhile, and some of you might be feeling a bit abandoned.  A little left out in the cold, wondering where your (mostly) regular fix of all things Tinsely went during these warm summer months.

Well as you may or may not have known (but probably do because I think the only people who read this are also in regular communication with the author), I just got back from my second stint working on board the Crystal Serenity, which just hit a milestone by being voted the BEST CRUISE SHIP IN THE WORLD for 16 YEARS IN A ROW.  That's a long time to be at the top.  Which is why they hired me.  Yeah.  What.

Aaaaanyhoo, I had a great time traversing the world and replenishing my bank account, as can be evidenced by this video:

Awesome.  Truly, that goat was like a brother to me.  Also, Norway was pretty sweet.  So was Denmark, Sweden, Russia, the UK and Spain, Portugal, Monaco, France, and Italy.  Not a bad way to spend four months.

BUT THAT'S BESIDE THE POINT

I'm back.  And I'm ready to get back to "work".  Yes, I am once again unemployed, but having been gainfully employed for the past four months has reinvigorated me and given me new hope of finding a real job on land.  I already have a few leads for menial labor, which is several leads more than I had last time we spoke.

In addition to that, I'll be resuming my acting classes again next week, which I'm super excited for (Acting the Truth with Steve Braun; he's awesome, look him up).  I probably forgot everything I learned before I left, but whatevs.  I'm ready to put my nose to the grindstone and get some real work done and make some shizz happen.  I've already started talking with my "roomies" (read: friends who let me live on their couch) about really starting work on our Youtube-based sketch comedy group, tentatively named "High-Five Anyway".  What do you all think of that name?  We'd love all ya'll's feedback.

There are some new developments in my life as well.  The registration ran out on my car while I was away, and the little bastard is way past the point of passing the emissions test, which means I won't be able to get it registered in California!  Huzzah!  To that end, I've purchased a brand-spankin new old ten-speed, which I will be transporting myself around the city on from now on.  (Don't worry mom, I did buy a helmet too, which I shall be wearing, cuz safety is my #1 priority! *insert campaign photo here*).  So yeah, hopefully I'll be saving some money on gas and getting myself into a modicum of shape in the process, which might make me slightly more desirable to,  wait for it...casting agents.
