Blindness

It's pretty crazy though, being out of school and whatnot
because for so long, it was just "take this class so you can take that class which leads to this other class, which leads to this degree..."
everything was planned out for you, and now there's just infinite possibilities.

and absolutely no roadmap.

The Reeling: Part II

So it was pointed out to me by a great guy named Peter, that many of you out there in Readerland might not know all the lingo that I'm spouting on a weekly(ish) basis.  In the interest if keeping all y'all well informed, I thought I'd start by explaining the purpose of a reel.

The Upsides of Unemployment

So as my loyal readers know, I am between jobs right now.  I've been papering this town with my headshot, resume, coverletters, and anything else that may help get me gainful employment.  Now some of you might be thinking, "Packing up your entire life and leaving the security of your parents house to move across the country during the worst recession in decades?  Not to mention moving to the most bankrupted state in the union?  And trying to break into one of the most competitive, backbiting and all around nasty professions in the world?  Well that's plain silly.  Stupid, even.  Mind-numbingly bone-headed.  Just bafflingly moronic.  Putrifyingly..."  Yeah I could just keep going on all day with those.  Bottom line, I don't have a job anymore.  But that's okay.  Because there are some real perks.

Waaaaaaaa!

Okay, I know that this has been a bit of a barrage of posts in the last 24 hours, but bear with me.  I guess I've just got a lot to say.  I went to audit an acting class tonight, Acting the Truth with Steve Braun, recommended to me by my friend Antosia Fiedur, who is an actress trying to make it in Vancouver.  You can check out her blog here: http://missantosia.wordpress.com/

The Reeling

Well, I finished working on my acting reel and it is officially up on Youtube.  There's a link to the video after the jump.  I know the quality is sub-par, but deal with it.  That's the problem you run into when you're editing together several different videos shot on different cameras at wildly different resolutions.  Compared to some I've seen online, mine is looking pret-ty, pret-ty, pret-ty, pretty good.

One Fantabulous Day

It's always a nice feeling when you're talking online to someone, and you say you have go, and once you've said goodbye, they immediately sign off.  Like they had stayed online just to talk to you a little bit longer.

So I was writing a blog post Saturday night about being in LA for a month, and looking back on it, it was pretty angry.  I'm not sure what exactly possessed me to write it, but in a way, I'm glad I did.  I'm not going to post it immediately, but I still agree with a lot of the things I wrote.  It was good for me to get some stuff off my chest.
